Golan Withdrawal Soon?

Well give me a kick in the mouth, will you? Just a couple of weeks ago, I was making bold statements that Israel would definitely take out the Bushehr reactor in Iran. That didn’t happen, and now the talk is that Israel is willing to withdraw from the Golan for peace! Provided, of course, that Syria cuts off relations with Hizbullah, Islamic Jihad, Hamas and Iran! I don’t think there is much chance of that, but even if they did, the only peace they are interested in is a piece of Israel. After all, they took lessons from the Gaza Disengagement five years ago, all for the purpose of peace! The only peace that was gained from that ridiculous situation was a larger piece of ground for Hizbullah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad to launch more rockets into Israel.

Ask the 10,000 former residents of Gush Katif – Gaza – that were uprooted from their lovely homes, their jobs, their communities, their life style and slung into an abyss of uncertainty and empty promises. They can tell you about this Piece Process. Those brave Jewish men and women, who were forced out of and away from all they knew, are now busy building new lives in other barren spots in Israel, starting over from scratch. I wonder what they would think of this offer to Syria. I think I know. At least, I know what my thoughts are, “Take out the Bushehr reactor and leave us alone!”
