Who didn’t see this coming? According to a CBS poll conducted by CBS’ 60 Minutes – now that’s a right wing group if there ever was one – only 15 percent of the Americans polled stated they would agree with the United States declaring war on Iran if Israel was attacked by the rogue nation.
Then there is the headline that says, “Saudi Would Allow Israel to Use Their Air Space to Attack Iran.” These are two opposite worlds in every way. Saudi, the Muslim nation and the home of the original black box where I think Mohammed is supposed to be buried – or is it his horse? – and a nation of no freedom for anyone except the greasy, oil drenched sheiks, say they’ll give Israel the green light to take out Iran’s nuclear installations.
Then there is the United States that has been the playground referee for the entire world, the only country – except Israel – with a mop in its hand to clean up the mess other nations make, and one of the most benevolent countries in the world, yet we say “no!” Is it because we are tired of fighting the fight for the rest of the world? Is it because we are still engaged in a never ending war to take out terrorist who want to destroy us – the Big Satan – and Israel – the Little Satan?
It all boils down to the same thing the terrorist call holy war. As I understand it, Iran is Shiite Muslim and Saudi is Sunni Muslim. Or is it the other way around? It is kind of like the war between the Hatfields and McCoys. It is a war over ideology and nonsense. One hates the others religion, or interpretation of their religion, and wants to see the other destroyed. It is so much nicer for the rich Saudis if they can just lie back on their pillows and continue eating themselves into oblivion while Israel flies through their airspace and takes out Saudi’s arch enemy. If it were just about Israel’s arch enemy, Saudi would raise their ugly fat hand from the chocolate bowl and put a stop to the fly over, but since it is about someone else doing their dirty work then its okay. Either way, it is about the Muslim hatred of the infidels and who is going to be king when we are all either dead or under their submission.
Here in the United States we are so busy trying to survive all that our Muslim-favoring-president has shoved on us that we can’t look beyond our own border wars to see what is going on. We seem to have forgotten that this country was founded by men of God who based our Constitution on Freedom and that our Revolutionary War was greatly funded by a Jewish man. We are busy alright, but it is imperative that we remember our own roots and not turn away from the biblical promise of Genesis 12:3. Isn’t stepping up to support Israel when she needs us, isn’t that a way of blessing her? I wonder what God has to say about all of this.
