Vive La France!

In recent days, the term “Long Live France” has taken on a new meaning. In absolute fury, we’ve watched as Islamic Terrorists have attacked the Charlie Hedbo offices for nothing more than having printed satirical cartoons against Mohammed, Hitler, Bush, Obama, and many other world leaders, dead or alive. Why? Why is it so intimidating to Muslims to have their leaders mocked when they think nothing of mocking Christianity, specifically Jesus, and Judaism. What is it about Islam that demands others being killed because they don’t agree with the Islamist theology?

In their hideous attack in the name of their god, they slaughtered 12 individuals and seriously injured 11 others. Two days later, while French police hunted the terrorist brothers, the terrorist juices of another Islamist decided to get into the fray by entering a Kosher grocery store on Friday morning with one purpose in mind. To kill and be killed. Because of the bravery of four employees of the store, fifteen people managed to escape after an hours long standoff with police.

Somewhere in all of this blood-letting-terror, a police woman was killed – I’ve never really understood which group of terrorists killed her. But then, I guess it doesn’t really matter. She is dead – gone forever – ripped from the hands of those who loved her by a hateful group of murderers hiding behind a so-called higher calling. Really? May her family and loved ones be comforted by those who mourn in Zion.

On Sunday, world leaders linked arms with those of France and marched through the streets of Paris, and other French cities, proclaiming ‘ENOUGH!’ Of course, Obama, Biden, Kerry and other U.S. leaders were not there. Why? I don’t know but a question lingers in my mind, “Does an Islamist demonstrate against an Islamist?” Apparently not – at least in most cases; however, some of those leading the march are of the Muslim faith including Recep Tayyip Erdo an of Turkey; the infamous terrorist himself – Mahmud Abbas of Gaza along with a few others (of course, it is questionable why Abbas was there – who was he standing with? The terrorists or France? Anything for the face of respectability in an unstable world!)

In all actuality, it wasn’t about the Muslim faith! The march was about Free Speech — It was about stopping the insane terrorist attacks against people who are free to speak their own minds – if that’s against Islam, then so be it.

Over the years, there have been many jokes about the French and their ‘inability’ to rise to the cause. The jokes were funny and I laughed, along with everyone else. But I’m not laughing any more. I’ve grown a new, deeper respect for France and the French people. As things stand now, the French seem to be ready to stand up the Islamic insanity and I, for one amongst many, applaud them. I pray they stand strong and determined to rid their society of the ‘no-go zones,’ of the burkas, of the anti-Semitism. It is time for them to stand up to it – and, it’s time for the rest of the world to stand up to it as well.

Of course, we have to exempt Obama, Biden and Kerry from that calling as it would just be too much of a security challenge for them to stand up for free speech.

Vive Le France!
